"Lily" Age:
1 yr Sex:
Female (Not yet spayed) Weight:
45 lbs. Size:
med Medical:
She has had all but her 3rd round of puppy shots. She has no known
medical problems. She has had one season in heat. She has never
been pregnant. She was on heartworm preventative medicine until Sept.
‘07. Lily
came to us at 3 months of age. Her prior owners were total strangers who
were driving around and stopped to ask us to take her since we had a
fenced yard. They said that they had to move. Lily was friendly but very
skittish around him. He said she and her brother (who they had already
found a home for) had been kept in a closet, and that if she disobeyed, to
use the belt, that she respects it. Our animal shelter is so bad that I
didn’t want her to go there, and it sounded like she didn’t need to
stay in his company, so we took her till we could find a home for her.
That hasn’t happened. She is so sweet that we wanted to keep her, but
finances have become an issue. Since she is young we’d like her to find
a nice home. When
left alone we have always put her in her crate since she’s a puppy we
didn’t want her chewing things up. She got out one time and "had
lots fun". Luckily it was mostly paper she tore up. But she’s
getting older now and should be maturing enough to grow out of this. Lily
loves to play. She is very fast and agile (she can almost twist into a
pretzel all by herself). I think she’d be a GREAT agility sports dog.
She is good with kids (we don’t know about kids under 7). She is ok with
cats, we have one she loves to wrestle with. They have fun “pretend
fighting”. She gets very jealous though. Sometimes she'll try to nip at
the cats if they come near the couch we're on. She has a volleyball that
she just loves to play with. Lily is VERY loving and feels that she has to
be with her “master”, usually needing to have physical contact, even
if that means her head on your foot. She’d be a great dog for a single
person who could give her all the love and attention she desires. (Then
she wouldn’t be jealous). |
