Maynard is a purebred shih tzu boy surrendered to rescue by a
breeder who wanted him to have a better life.
He is 3-1/2 years old (estimated D.O.B.
10-5-04
) and weighs 11-1/2 pounds. Maynard
has been neutered, brought up to date on his immunizations, tested
negative for heartworms and started on preventative.
Maynard is shy and will need a family with patience and
understanding to help him learn his house manners, how to walk on a
leash, and most of all, how to be the much loved little prince he was
meant to be. Maynard will
not be placed in a home with children under the age of 12 or with a dog
weighing more than 20 pounds. His
adoption donation is $150, and he is being fostered in
Birmingham
,
Alabama
. We do approve out of
state adoptions, but the adopter must be willing to drive to the foster
home to “fetch” the new family member.
We do not ship or transport our dogs.
