Hi everyone…my name is Alice .  I am currently looking for a forever, loving home and hope after you hear my story you will want to make me yours.  

 

I was born out in the woods at Smith Lake .  I have 4 other brothers and sisters, all healthy.  A very kind man found us and brought us to a Vet here in Birmingham .  I was placed in a foster home because I was smaller and very sick.  You see, I had a fungal and bacterial infection.  I was not eating well; I was weak and on top of all that, lost all my hair.  I had to visit the Vet’s office every 3-4 days for special medicine.  BUT, now I am all better.  My hair has all returned and I’ve started growing.

 

I am approximately 12 weeks old now and will most likely be a medium to large dog.  I’m told I am a lab mix and look like the little dog on TV that sings, “ain’t no bugs on me”.  I am white and light brown in color with a cute little black nose.  I still have to get one more set of vaccinations.  I am currently on heartworm and flea prevention and when I am a little older must be spayed.  I am currently being crate trained and doing great.  I go outside to potty and am told doing great with that as well.  I have started leash training but I don’t like that very much.  My foster Mom has several dogs and I love playing with them.  There are also several cats in my home and I like to bark and chase them.  I have not been around any children but if they play then I’m all for that too.  I love to run and play with my stuffed toys. 

 

My foster Mom says anyone interested in me must have a fenced in back yard because I’m going to get big one of these days and need a place to run, play and be safe.  She also requires a home visit prior to adoption and a Vet reference.  If you think you could love and care and give me a forever home, then please email my foster Mom at SPettis934@aol.com and also fill out an application.  There will be a modest adoption fee.
