Lucinda is a Maltezu, a Maltese/ Shih tzu mix.
As you can see from her pictures, she is solid white and looks
pretty much like a purebred Maltese except for a bit of a pug nose.
Lucinda is a year old and weighs 7.4 pounds.
She was surrendered to rescue by her previous owner who didn’t
have time for her. She has
been spayed, brought up to date on her immunizations, tested negative
for heartworms, and started on preventative.
Lucinda is a perky little girl with lots of spunk
and energy, but she’s also a real cuddle bug and loves to be in
a lap. She is a bit vocal
and probably not suited for apartment or condo living, and she will need
a fenced yard because she has not yet learned how to walk on a leash and
will need a safe way to go out to potty.
She will also need someone with the patience to work with her on
her housetraining skills. Lucinda
will not be placed in a home with children under the age of 12.
Her adoption donation is $250, and she is being fostered in
Birmingham
,
Alabama
. We do approve out of
state adoptions, but the adopter must be willing to drive to the foster
home to “fetch” the new family member.
We do not ship or transport our dogs.
