THIS
IS NOT AN
ALABAMA
ANIMAL RESCUE DOG. WE CANNOT
ANSWER YOUR QUESTIONS ABOUT IT OR PROCESS AN APPLICATION.
PLEASE EMAIL INFO@AMYZARK.ORG FOR THEIR APPLICATION.
Barkley is a purebred shih tzu puppy surrendered to rescue because his
elderly owner was not able to care for him as she felt he deserved.
She wanted him to have a better life, with a more active owner.
Barkley is 7 months old (his birthday is
September 3, 2007
), and he is a big boy at 16 pounds. He is chubby and should lose a
couple of pounds when he gets more exercise and his food intake is limited
a little. He has reached his full adult size. He is a
beautiful boy with a wonderfully soft coat and the most expressive eyes.
You can almost see him asking, “Will you be my family?” Barkley
is up to date on all his immunizations and is on monthly heartworm and
flea preventative. He has now been neutered and is ready for his new
home. Barkley has been defensive with children in the past, and we
are looking for an adult only home for him—no children under the age of
14, please. Barkley’s adoption donation is $200, and he is being
fostered in
Birmingham
,
Alabama
. We do approve out of state adoptions, but the adopter must be
willing to drive to the foster home to “fetch” the new family member.
We do not ship or transport our dogs. If you are interested in
adopting this sweet baby, please email info@amyzark.org
for an application.
